Before the revolution, and even before the tea, we think it best to take a moment to introduce the blog and ourselves. We’re a group of students studying the humanities and social sciences at the University of York and we like to think we’ve got a finger on the pulse of society: the ideas that move it, the forces that direct it and the people that shape it. It seems, however, at least some of us are groping at something else, for we disagree on what to make of the world around us, and how it might be improved. Given such differences, we hope this blog will serve as a forum for debate and argument - with the slim possibility that some interesting things will be said (even if only interesting to ourselves). We welcome contribution and comment from others, and hope that you enjoy reading what we have to say.
